Foundation
The Booy Foundation is named after the legendary Dutch professor C. (Kees) Booy (1921-2013), who introduced fixed orthodontic appliances in the 1960’s in the Netherlands and many other European countries. The foundation is a spin-off of a successful congress of the European Begg Society of Orthodontics (EBSO) in the Netherlands in 1987.
Since its official establishment in 1988 the foundation organizes accredited orthodontic courses and congresses in the Netherlands. Primarily, the meetings are intended for orthodontists and members of orthodontic teams.
The foundation is an independent and non-commercial non-profit organization. The board consists of 3 orthodontists. These volunteers work entirely selfless for the foundation and receive no remuneration.
